Fashola Inspects On-Going Projects, Asks Contractor To Submit Workplan

Feb 12, 2009 - Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN) on Thursday inspected some on- going road projects in Iba and Alimosho local Government area to determine the level and quality of work already carried out by the contractors.

The Governor who was accompanied by members of the State Executive Council inspected the level of work on the Agboroko/ Igbo –Elerin road which is expected to reduce pressure on the Lagos-Badagry Expressway when completed by driving through.

Governor Fashola who was received at the different project sites by the Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure, Engineer Ganiyu Johnson and the Chairman of Iba Local Government, Mr Musbau Suhrau also visited Iyana School in the Iba Local Government before inspecting on-going work on Association Avenue/Governor Road which is Egbe- Idimu Local Government area where he was told by the HiTech contractors that the road would be completed by May ending.

The Lagos State Governor also used the opportunity to inspect the ongoing work at Agodo road in the Egbe -Idimu Local Government area of the State also asked the contractors handling the road to provide him with a detailed work plan on when the road would become motorable and the drains would be ready.
