The Governor who spoke at a special State Executive Council session held at the Lagos House, Ikeja expressed the hope that the honour done to Master Folarin would achieve the purpose of encouraging him to aim higher.
He stressed that the One-Day Governor and his cabinet members all have a responsibility to be good ambassadors of their schools and urged them to always study hard and be good students.

In response to a question on how government decisions are taken Governor Fashola said the present administration is always conscious of the responsibility it has to the people of Lagos State.
He informed that the decision making process at the State Executive Council session is driven by thorough consideration of memoranda before arriving at a consensus with every member having a voting right, adding that each member has a right to initiate a memoranda to the council which would be thoroughly debated.
Governor Fashola emphasized that in arriving at such decisions, the government is always concerned about ensuring that it endorses policies that will bring about the greatest good to the greatest number of the citizens.
Citing the example of the passage of the State Traffic Law, the Governor said some members of the council were opposed to it because it affected them adversely while some members were favourably disposed to its enactment.
